Real Madrid's current 'BC' strike force is statistically one of the worst in Europe following a start to the season that has seen them score just one league goal apiece.
That means that the only team they are less prolific than is Italian minnows Benevento, who have lost all 13 of their Serie A games so far this season, the worst ever start to a top flight season.
Benevento strikers Pietro Iemmello and Massimo Coda are the only striking pair in Europe to have scored less than Benzema and Ronaldo with just one league goal between them to the Real men's two.
This time last year, Ronaldo and Benzema had found the net 12 times between them, figures they can only dream of now.
Back in the present, they are the figureheads of Real's worst ever start to a season by their strikeforce, which is something of a paradox when you consider that back in 2014/15 they also set the record for the best start after plundering 27 goals between them after 12 games.
Real are certainly suffering from their strikers' woes in front of goal, having scored 12 less goals than at the same point last season.
Ronaldo and Benzema's problems seem even more stark if we consider that PSG pair Edinson Cavani and Neymar have 22 goals between them so far this campaign, Lyon's Mariano Diaz and Nabil Fekir 20 and Barca's Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez 17. Some way back in the final two spots in the list are Real and Benevento.
