CKSA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin is reportedly a top target for Chelsea come New Year, with the club's Russian owner Roman Abramovich optimistic of completing a deal to bring his fellow countryman to the club.
The 21-year-old already has 15 caps for his national side and has been tipped to star on home soil next summer.
The fear of seeing his value rocket has seen the 'Blues' plot an early move for the youngster, with English publication 'The Sun' reporting that Chelsea are prepared to spend £15m to lure the player to Stamford Bridge next month.
However, they also claim that Conte would have to decide whether the Russian would be sent out on loan or bedded straight into the Chelsea first team. Though given the Italian's complaints about fatigue and squad size of late, it would make sense to go with the latter option.
Golovin has emerged as one of CSKA's key players in recent times, starting all six of the club's Champions League games this season and contributing three goals and three assists to his side's cause in 16 Russian Premier League games so far this campaign.
Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Golovin, though it is thought that Abramovich's influence in his homeland could help Chelsea push through a deal.
